Viscomte Raoul Ogier d’Ivry established his residence at Lake Manitou in 1892. The Ivry name was later given to this community of farms and summer cottages in the Laurentian mountains.
The farmland has since returned to the forest. Most cottages are “four-season” and many homes are now primary residences. In the face of this tranquil evolution, the wonderful backdrop of Ivry’s lakes, mountains, and valleys has not changed at all.
Communication technology now allows Ivry’s citizens to participate actively in the direction and preservation of our municipality, as well as to share this oasis of natural beauty with our web-site guests.
On behalf of all Council members, I wish you a pleasant visit on our web-site.
Kenneth G. Hague, mayor
