During the pandemic, the Association des Auteurs des Laurentides realized how important reading is in our lives, especially in times of crisis. Reading provides information, entertainment and dreams, as well as solutions to our problems.
This observation gave rise to the Caravane Littéraire de Lu&Relu, named after the eponymous bookshop that provides it. By offering a local service to people in remote villages, the Caravane Littéraire makes it possible to buy books at modest prices, and to share the local cultural and literary wealth with the Laurentian authors on the road.
We come to you to offer used books (in very good condition) at prices ranging from $1 to $6.
If you’re looking for a book, you can e-mail us at librairielurelu@gmail.com with the title and author, and if it’s available, we’ll bring it to you on May 18.
An author will be on hand to collect anecdotes about your village or region. She’ll write a story based on your confidences, and we’ll publish a book that will then be available in your village.
We look forward to meeting you!
