\nThe municipal council of Ivry-sur-le-Lac has the mandate to preserve its territory in as natural a state as possible so that it remains the peaceful haven it has always been. While always striving towards sound municipal management, the Municipality is committed to placing citizens\u2019 needs as its key priority.<\/p>\n

Ivry-sur-le-Lac \u2026 a peaceful haven in its natural state for more than 100 years.<\/p>\n

It was in 1852 that the first residents, Paul Meunier and Ang\u00e9lique Godon, settled on the territory of Ivry-sur-le-Lac. Since the arrival of the railway in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, the territory of Ivry-sur-le-Lac had discovered a new vocation: resort residences serving a wealthy clientele including Viscount Ogier d\u2019Ivry, native of Le Mans, France in honor of whom the municipality will ultimately be named. The latter established a residence there around 1892, but the first settlers had already lived there since 1852. It was officially founded in 1912 under the name of \u201cIvry-sur-le-Lac\u201d.<\/p>\n

At first, the Viscount had named the place \u201cLac-Manitou\u201d, a reference to the lake bearing the same name, but in 1912, at the time of civilly constituting the municipality, the residents decided to immortalize the Viscount\u2019s name in the village\u2019s appellation.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ivry-sur-le-Lac was formed by removing from range III of the Township of Wolfe, five lots surrounding Lac Manitou.<\/p>\n

Since then, the magnificent backdrop of mountains, lakes and valleys has hardly changed. Even today, the urban planning by-laws in force aim to maintain this natural beauty and the protection in all respects of nature over an area of nearly 35 square kilometers.<\/p>\n

As stipulated in Section 176.2.2 of the\u00a0Code Municipale du Qu\u00e9bec<\/em>, the Mayor presents the highlights of the financial report and the auditor\u2019s report for the 2021 fiscal year, as audited by the accounting firm Amyot G\u00e9linas.<\/p>\n

In this regards, the Mayor confirms that the\u00a0Municipalit\u00e9 d\u2019Ivry-sur-le-Lac<\/em>\u00a0ended the year 2021 with excellent financial results.\u00a0 There are operating revenues of $2,488,711, operating expenses of $2,131,017, reconciling items for tax purposes of $52,178 to end with the budget surplus of $305,516 for the year 2021.<\/p>\n

It must be considered that the\u00a0Municipalit\u00e9 d\u2019Ivry-sur-le-Lac\u00a0<\/em>has unavoidable obligations and non-discussable quotas, such as:<\/p>\n
