By-law 2020-118<\/a>\u00a0concerning the control of dogs is intended to govern the rules governing the possession of a licence and to set the fee for obtaining it. This by-law also covers certain situations or facts that constitute a nuisance.<\/p>\n

The Municipality has also signed an agreement with the Laurentides-Labelle SPCA for the accommodation and care of stray dogs and cats found on its territory.<\/p>\n

No one may keep more than three (3) dogs per unit of occupation;
A dog must be carried or led by its keeper by means of a leash the length of which cannot exceed 1,85 m, except when the dog is within the limits of its owner\u2019s unit of occupation or outbuildings.<\/p>\n

Every owner must obtain a dog licence within fifteen (15) days of the dog\u2019s acquisition, following its permanent arrival on the territory, or before it reaches the age of three months.<\/p>\n

Cost: $25 (if animal is spayed or nutured), $40 (not spayed or nutured)<\/p>\n
