We would like to welcome Jacob Ibghy (photo on the left) and \u00c9tienne Tousignant (photo on the right) to our team!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Sujet 1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.0.11&#8243; header_font=&#8221;|800|||||||&#8221; header_3_font=&#8221;|600|||||||&#8221; custom_margin=&#8221;||||false|false&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;10px||18px||false|false&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; border_width_bottom=&#8221;1px&#8221; border_color_bottom=&#8221;rgba(51,51,51,0.13)&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Green waste &#8211; Too valuable to put in the garbage!<\/h3>\n<p>The beautiful spring weather is the time for outdoor chores.\u00a0 We encourage you to place green waste, such as branches of a diameter of less than 4 cm, dead leaves, flowers, plants, pine needles, bark, and shavings inside the brown bin. \u00a0This waste will be composted and used to feed the earth!\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ivry-sur-le-lac.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/bac_brun.png\" width=\"99\" height=\"143\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3357 alignright size-full\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other options to dispose of your green waste in an environmentally friendly way include the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leave grass clippings on the ground after mowing the lawn. Nitrogen-rich clippings will be quickly reabsorbed by the soil and will enrich your lawn.<\/li>\n<li>In the fall, mow dead leaves on the ground and leave the shredded leaves on the lawn, or lay them out as mulch in flower beds or the garden.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a quantity of dead leaves in a large bag and use them at any time of the year in your brown bin, alternating with food waste. Your garbage bin, that is, the black bin, is collected every two weeks.\u00a0 The green bin, which contains recyclable material, will continue to be collected every two weeks, alternating with the black bin. Since April 1, 2020, the SOPFEU has suspended, for an indefinite period, the issuance of permits for industrial burning and other fires throughout Quebec.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, we remind you that you must have a burning permit before lighting a fire, it&#8217;s free and online and it only takes a few minutes to fill out. Because so many people are at home, they are using delivery services for their online orders.\u00a0 As a result, we have noticed a greater volume of cardboard of all kinds.\u00a0 We have also noticed a significant increase in returnable containers.\u00a0 Since merchants have stopped taking back empty cans and bottles, people do not always have the space, or the desire, to keep them at home and therefore they have placed them in the green bin.\u00a0 This increase in the number of returnable containers reached 50% at the Lachute plant.<\/p>\n<p>When cleaning up in the spring, make sure that you place only accepted recyclable materials.
