Almost 600 decals were issued in 2021 compared to 327 decals issued in 2020. In addition, 363 decals were issued for non-motorized boats, including kayaks of non-residents who had to have their boats washed and pay to access to the landing. Of course, there were many more washes since each decal included unlimited access to the washing station.<\/p>\n \u00a0Except for non-motorized kayaks that had to be washed before each launch, we only had one motorized boat launched by a non-resident who paid the $250 fee.<\/p>\n \u00a0In order to ensure everyone’s satisfaction, the administrative team sent a notice in the spring to all citizens who had already registered a boat the previous year so that they could be well informed regarding the standards to be respected before each launch.<\/p>\n \u00a0In addition, a notice was sent to all known boat dealers in the area to make them aware of the obligation to wash each boat and trailer.<\/p>\n \u00a0Thank you for your collaboration in prioritizing the health of the water bodies on the territory!<\/p>\n Shoreline regulation compliance<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n The process of ensuring compliance for all shorelines included the following measures:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0Up to now, we have been able to depend upon the excellent cooperation of the citizens and we thank you very much. As you are surely aware, a well-managed shoreline has a very positive impact upon a body of water and represents its filtering lungs, while a non-conforming shoreline represents important risks.<\/p>\n \u00a0A re-inspection is scheduled for early summer 2022 and citizens who do not comply are at risk to receive a Notice of Infraction. Although we do not wish to issue such a notice, the objective is to work with you to ensure that all shorelines comply with environmental standards and regulations. Please note that there is no grandfathering of landscaping.
