Notice of Assessment 2022<\/h3>\n

\u00a0The tax bills for the year 2022 were sent by mail and by email, for those who have requested them electronically. We are starting a new triennial roll this year, for 2022-2023-2024. We also officially filed the cadastral reform at the end of 2021, which brought the modification of all roll numbers (matricule<\/em>). In order to facilitate the transition, the payment dates have been changed, with the first installment, and in some cases, the only installment, payable no later than April 15th, 2022. In order to ensure that your payments are processed properly, it is imperative for you to change the information in your banking platform BEFORE<\/strong> making your payment.<\/p>\n

\u00a0If you have not received your account(s), please contact the administrative team by email at\u00a0info@ivry-sur-le-lac.qc.ca<\/a><\/span> or by phone at 819-321-2332 ext. 3700 as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The administrative offices are still not accessible to citizens. Payment utilizing your banking website through the bill payment function, Interac transfer or by cheque, are the recommended methods of payment.<\/p>\n

2022 Waster Collection Calendar<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The new collection calendar is now available. It provides the schedule for the placement of garbage, recycling material and compost into the three bins at your disposal. A copy has been added to the mailing of your tax bill.<\/p>\n

Time Change<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The time will \u2018\u2019spring\u2019\u2019 forward on the night of the second Sunday in March, March 13th, 2022. The time change allows us to reduce our energy consumption by extending daylight by one hour at the end of the day!<\/p>\n

Activites on Frozen Streams<\/h3>\n

Due to the large temperature swings we experience each year, many streams will not freeze completely and can be risky during the winter. Before venturing out on a waterway, it is important to take the necessary precautions.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Observe the color of the ice, blue and clear ice is usually stronger. White and opaque ice contains a high portion of surface area, as its resistance depends upon its density. Grey ice usually contains a portion of water, following a thaw for example, and is considered dangerous. No type of ice is 100% safe.<\/p>\n

\u00a0It is also recommended never to venture alone on a frozen lake.<\/p>\n

Tips – Composting in Winter<\/strong><\/h3>\n

<\/em><\/p>\n

To prevent freezing, cover the bottom of the brown bin that rolls out in winter with a layer of newspaper, or a piece of cardboard to prevent the material from sticking. You can also use a large paper bag as a liner in the brown bin. Liquids should also be avoided so that the residuals do not stick to the sides of the brown bin.<\/p>\n

Sport fishing in Quebec is regulated by the Minist\u00e8re des For\u00eats, Faunes et Parcs<\/em>. Lake Manitou is located in an area that completely prohibits sport fishing in winter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Walking with your dog<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Green bin – The importance of removing snow<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As soon as the precipitation turns to snow, unfortunately, the sorting centre is affected. In fact, when you don’t clear snow from the cover of your bin prior to pick-up, the snow is collected in the truck at the same time as the recyclable materials, which causes significant difficulties at the sorting stage. A significant amount of snow accumulates, so it makes sorting difficult.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>It is therefore very important to properly remove the snow from the lid of your green bin before it is emptied! Thank you in advance for your cooperation. When you understand the impacts, it’s easier to act!<\/p>\n
