The Municipal Boat Washing Station and Landing will be close for the season on Monday, October 10<\/strong> at 5 p.m.! We ask that you plan to have your watercraft out by October 10, 2022<\/strong> if at all possible. After that date, you must make an appointment at least 24 hours in advance <\/strong>by calling 819 321-2332 ext. 3704. Please note that after October 10, the time slots for appointments will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday only<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Theft of Equipment<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Following a round of inspection, by the road department, we discovered that a sign on Lac Manitou Sud<\/em> was stolen. This signage is necessary to encourage drivers to slow down near the entrance of the municipal dock. Our main interest is the safety of children and adults, slowing down the speed of traffic is a must.<\/p>\n

This is the second incident in the area, this safety measure has been taken to protect all users of this road.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Such acts are reprehensible and cannot be tolerated.<\/p>\n

LE PARC \u00c9CO RENOUVELLE SES C\u00c9L\u00c8BRES PASSERELLES SUR L\u2019EAU<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mont-Blanc, le 6 septembre 2022 \u2013 La MRC des\u00a0Laurentides souhaite informer les usagers et usag\u00e8res du Parc \u00c9co Laurentides du d\u00e9but imm\u00e9diat des travaux de remplacement d\u2019une partie des passerelles aquatiques qui se feront jusqu\u2019au 30 septembre prochain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Les passerelles existantes situ\u00e9es dans le secteur \u00ab\u00a0Le Riverain\u00a0\u00bb sont maintenant ferm\u00e9es, et ce pour toute la dur\u00e9e des travaux, \u00e0 la suite de quoi, l\u2019installation des nouveaux quais d\u00e9butera. Il est demand\u00e9 \u00e0 toutes les personnes fr\u00e9quentant le parc de rester hors de la zone cibl\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Temporary Carports<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It’s now time to start thinking about the approaching winter season. Temporary carports are only permitted in all setbacks and parking areas from October 1st of one year to May 1st of the following year under By-law No. 2013-060, and Sections 206 and 368.<\/p>\n

Roadwork on the territory – Follow-up<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Constantineau Road Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work began on September 1st and is progressing well. As of this writing, the culvert replacement work is underway and will be completed shortly. The final grading and paving work are scheduled to take place between September 26 and 30. If the weather conditions are favorable, the schedule, can be respected.<\/p>\n

Lacasse \/ Daoust Road Project<\/strong><\/p>\n

The municipality is still waiting for the final authorization from the Minist\u00e8re de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques<\/em>. Some steps in the process have been completed to date, but others are still being processed. We will keep you informed as soon as we have news. Reminder –\u00a0Citizen’s obligation to provide proof of emptying<\/strong><\/h3>\n

According to article 4 of the bylaw 2009-131, when you have your septic installation emptied, it is your responsibility to send proof of the execution of the work to the Municipality no later than October 15th of each year when an emptying is required by bylaw.<\/p>\n

Although the various service providers offer to forward the proof to the municipality, we never receive them all. It is preferable to send it to us yourself by e-mail (admin@ivry-sur-le-lac.qc.ca), where we confirm receipt and update your file.<\/p>\n

Also, an annual maintenance contract is necessary for certain septic installations (type Ecoflo, Bionest, Enviro-Septic, etc.). The same applies to the annual maintenance. Send us a proof to update your file. We accept a copy of the maintenance contract.<\/p>\n

Fall – The season for hiking!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Fall is often the season of choice for hikers. This activity is for everyone and can be started at any age. Hiking is perhaps the most accessible outdoor activity.<\/p>\n

When you are a beginner, you should plan shorter hikes, with little or no change in elevation. This is a good way to evaluate your abilities. The important thing is to give yourself time to progress and never overestimate your abilities. For your safety, we recommend that you hike with more than one person. It is also possible to join a walking group.<\/p>\n
